Yiran Gong

Hi! I’m a rising senior at Barnard College of Columbia University, majoring in Cognitive Science and Computer Science. I’m broadly interested in computational approaches to understanding the mind—especially how we make decisions and navigate social interactions.

Since 2024, I’ve been working in Weiji’s Lab at NYU, where I study how communication influences collaborative planning. I’m especially curious about the subtle ways people share uncertainty, coordinate actions, and shape each other’s thinking.
